If you are interested in training with heavier forged weapons that can be sharpened, I recommend this website. They have excellent deals on high carbon steel, etched blades, and even Damascus blades. They offer many types of weapons, such as straight swords, broadswords, Guan daos, and spears.

I have purchased several weapons from them, including a beautiful broadsword and a Guan dao. The added weight is a great challenge and useful training tool. Using a spring steel blade after using combat steel is like picking up a feather!
There are some photos of my combat steel blades in the gallery.

My broadsword is a Qing Dynasty high manganese/carbon steel army saber with alloy guard/handle, and gorgeous stamped yellow PU leather wrapped scabbard. It is 40.6" overall, 28" blade. I couldn't find the exact weight, but similar blades are approx 2.1 lbs.
My Guan dao is high manganese/carbon steel patterned blade, stainless steel rod, brass fittings, 80" overall, 18" x 4.5" blade, 9.9 lbs.
