Sifu Denise Richardson
Sifu Denise Richardson, a member of the National Women's Martial Arts
Federation, has been pursuing knowledge in martial and healing arts since 1986.
The bulk of Denise's martial training has been under the tutelage of
Sifu Norman Smith and Shirfu Thomas Hardy. Her training includes empty hand
and weapons experience in Northern Shaolin Gung-Fu, PaGua, Hsing Yi,
Okinawan Karate and Yang family Taijiquan. She continuously adds to her knowledge
base of the ancient healing and energy manipulation art of Meditation and Qigong.
Denise began focusing on Qigong and Taoist Meditation after being diagnosed
with Systemic Lupus complicated with a Lupus hyper-coagulation. She continues
to explore Meditation and Qigong in the Complete Reality Taoism School
(Dragon Gate Sect). Her extensive Meditation and Qigong practice focuses on
building energy, nourishing the organ systems and clearing meridian blockages.
This wholistic approach to wellness enables Denise to control this chronic
condition and practice internal and external martial arts without taking a wide
variety of less than benign medications.
Sifu Denise is an instructor teaching both Tai Chi/Qi Gong and Kung Fu at the
Northern Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Chi Academy and continues to be a great inspiration with great insight.
