Lost Ancestor Fist Form
(40 Beat or 40 B)
* Lost Ancestor Fist (40-Beat) is the second basic form taught in the system of Tien Shan Pai. In this DVD, Grandmaster Lin teaches this exercise to his Disciple, Master Dennis Brown, exactly the same way he taught it to Master Brown thirty five years ago.
In the first form of the Tien Shan Pai system, 24-Beat (Primary Fist), the student learns to move in straight lines forward and backward. In 40-Beat, the student learns to control his movements, as well as his techniques, while turning, and changing directions.
This DVD features both Grandmaster Lin, and his Disciple, Master Dennis Brown. It includes detailed instruction, and demonstrations of 40-Beat, as both a single person exercise, and also, as a two person set.

Chin Na - The Grappling Techniques
Chin-Na refers to the grappling techniques taught in the Kung Fu system known as T'ien Shan P'ai. The purpose of any Chin-Na is to control your opponent. While easily learned, mastery of these techniques requires a basic knowledge of pressure points and body mechanics. To master these techniques properly takes practice.
Volume I offers a comprehensive, in-depth look at Chin-Na defenses against grabs to the wrist and to the forearm. The reason T'ien Shan P'ai Chin-Na training begins here, is because this is the part of the body easiest for an attacker to grab. This volume also includes some counter techniques.
Volume II is a continuation of Volume I. As such, it assumes a familiarity with the techniques taught in Volume I. It focuses on the more advanced techniques, which include grabs above the elbow, to the torso, against choke holds and head locks, and against being pushed or punched. Volume II assumes a familiarity with all that has been taught in Volume I.
